Ophidian refers to the reptile group, Ophidia, where snakes are classified. Snakes and reptiles have always been a significant part of my life. Growing up my father collected a variety of snakes, so we usually had three to four at a time. I have always admired their rhythmic and graceful nature. The same delicate qualities are what I admire about chainmail. The name, Ophidian, was fitting due to the scale-like, serpent quality of chainmail. Most of my pieces are named after different snake nomenclatures that are classified under Ophidia.

I created Ophidian Guild in the summer of 2016 to make my favorite adornments available to others. I have been making chainmail for over five years, and working with leather for four. I never imaged that one of my passions would bloom into a small business. I take extreme care into the production of each item. I only choose the highest quality materials for each piece. Every piece is custom made to your measurements. If you have questions concerning how to take measurements or are interested in a custom piece please click the 'contact' page at the bottom.
